Clutch pedal is squeaking when moving up and down. I have recently replaced old clutch with a new one and it's working fine, but the pedal is squeaking and is very stiff while moving. Can I lubricate something by myself to solve this issue? This post has been edited by moxb: 14 Sep 2024, 16:55

Replace the cable and lubricate the clutch release fork

I can't replace the cable by myself (and I don't think it's needed right now), but I was wondering if I can lubricate the fork by myself?

From the video it doesn't seem that difficult, but I am not sure if I can do it, it seems that two people is needed for this job (one needs to press the clutch pedal).
Is it possible for one man to do it?

Yeah, use a weight for the clutch pedal

Actually, I solved the problem today without opening the bonnet.

I pushed the clutch pedal few times up instead of down, and that made pedal smooth and without any squeaking!
I don't know why, but it worked!
